Installation Guidelines for Wall Cladding
General Adhesive Use
Use Tile Adhesive for installing cladding. However, for Natural Stone Walling, you should use a 1:2 plaster mix instead.
Plastered and Unplastered Walls
First, inspect the wall and chisel off any protruding areas or uneven surfaces.
Then, fix a straight edge to the bottom of the wall to ensure a level starting point.
Before starting, carefully plan the cladding layout to avoid unnecessary adjustments later.
To improve adhesion, consider mixing bonding liquid into the tile adhesive.
During installation, use tile spacers to maintain consistent leveling between products.
It’s important to clean as you go—remove any excess tile adhesive or grout before it dries, as it will bond permanently to the product.
If using waterproofing additives, always follow the manufacturer’s specifications to ensure proper application.
Painted Walls
Start by chipping the wall surface thoroughly to help the adhesive grip properly.
Next, sand the chipped wall to remove any loose flakes or paint residue.
Then, fix a straight edge at the base to ensure a level foundation.
Carefully plan your cladding layout before applying any adhesive.
Also, consider adding bonding liquid to the tile adhesive to strengthen its hold.
Use tile spacers throughout the process to keep everything aligned and level.
Again, clean as you go—remove adhesive or grout spills immediately before they dry.
Finally, if you’re adding waterproofing agents to the adhesive, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions precisely.
